Welcome to my website!

I am a counsellor and hypnotherapist working with children, adults and couples with any problem  (however embarrassing.)

I provide a totally confidential, caring and safe environment in which you can share your personal difficulties. I understand how hard it can be to voice your  problems to a complete stranger but I can assure you that this is the process that has been proven to be extremely beneficial.

I use various techniques such as neurolinguistic programming, emotional freedom technique and cognitive behavioural therapy so I can design an exact therapy to suit YOU! Whether you have counselling, hypnosis or a combination is entirely subject to our mutual agreement. You are never out of control but empowered by these safe and sound recognised therapies.

I particularly enjoy working with relationship problems. I would normally see both partners individually first and then together as a couple to enable difficulties to be voiced and explored in a safe environment. (It is not always about making a relationship work but sometimes enabling couple to separate in a mutually beneficial way.)

I have a specialist certificate in eating disorders and deal with weight gain or loss. If someone's Body Mass Index is 35 or over they qualify to have a hypnotic gastric band fitted. This comprises four sessions.

In 1986 I co-founded the Ashford counselling service.

I am trained in working with post-traumatic stress and worked for social services in the mental health field. Having undergone bereavement counselling training with CRUSE I worked for a while helping people who had been bereaved by suicide. Via adult education I was a tutor and ran self-awareness groups. Also "self-hypnosis" special interest groups for a holiday company in many different locations.

I run supervision groups and am recognised by the General Hypnotherapy Register to do 1-1 supervision.
